Joan Hendry has served diligently for 30 years in the field of evangelism seeing hundreds born again, physically healed, and spiritually restored. Each year she travels thousands of miles in answer to the call of God to reach out to all people around the world spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Surrendered fully to the control of the Holy Spirit, Joan is used mightily in all gifts severally as He wills. Due to her obedience, blind eyes see, deaf ears hear, wheel chairs are emptied, and the dead are raised as God is powerfully glorified. The cry of Joan's heart is to help the people of God learn to move in the freedom of the Spirit and apply the Word of God in their daily lives bringing about balance and true worship in spirit and in truth.

Joan, mother of two daughters and grandmotherof two, was saved in January, 1959 and baptized in the Holy Spirit in January, 1972. Miraculous things began to happen as she began to move at the leading of the Holy Spirit and just weeks later Joan's husband and both daughters, ages five and eight were saved and gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit. However, tragedy struck on May 11th of that same year and Joan's husband was killed in a flash flood while working. In her hour of need Jesus appeared to her saying, "I'll never leave you, nor forsake you." Tragedy struck again when Joan's house burned to the ground in January 1979; had it not been for an angelic deliverance, Joan and both daughters would have perished. Once again God met her in her time of need faithfully restoring all that had been destroyed. Feeling a strong call of God and after the death of her husband, Joan fully surrendered her life to the ministry of evangelist.Upon serving faithfully in this office, she was ordained by the Assemblies of God on May 4, 1977.

In March of 1979, Joan received a mandate from the Lord to establish "The King's Handmaiden, Inc., a non-profit world wide evangelistic organization. Currently twenty-nine ministers have been ordained under her leadership and are actively serving in various fields of ministry. Ever endeavoring to obediently serve the Lord, Joan was ordained to the International Board of Elders for the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism, further fulfilling her call to a greater world wide ministry. Closer to home, Joan serves as an advisor to Waukaway Ministries in Vossburg, Mississippi, an interndenominational retreat ministry.

Truly giving God all the glory for the great things He has done, Joan's life reflects the attributes of her heavenly Father as she reaches out to people around the world striving to fulfill the call upon her life.
